Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced Corporate Accounting Manager IV to lead corporate accounting and consolidation activities across the organization. This role is critical in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining compliance with applicable accounting standards, and driving the effectiveness of the company’s close and reporting processes.
This position is a hands-on working manager role, requiring both strong leadership capabilities and direct involvement in key accounting activities, including consolidations, financial reporting, and complex accounting analysis.
The ideal candidate will oversee key areas of the corporate accounting function, including consolidations, financial reporting, and general ledger activities, while providing leadership to the team. This position partners cross-functionally with finance, technical and government accounting, treasury, tax, FP&A, HR, operations, and external auditors to support enterprise-wide financial objectives. This role offers a 9/80 work schedule and hybrid work arrangement.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Corporate Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Lead the preparation and review of consolidated financial statements across multiple entities
- Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Oversee the preparation and review of journal entries, including accruals and complex adjustments
- Ensure the integrity of financial data, maintaining accurate accounting records and supporting documentation
- Research, evaluate, and resolve complex accounting issues in accordance with U.S. GAAP
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and accuracy in financial reporting
- Drive efficiencies, standardization, and continuous improvement in close and consolidation processes
- Support the development and implementation of corporate accounting policies and best practices
- Oversee account reconciliations, including detailed balance sheet reviews and variance analysis
- Ensure timely identification and resolution of discrepancies and unusual items
- Review audit schedules and supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy
- Serve as a key point of contact for internal and external auditors, supporting financial and compliance audits
- Oversee the use of ERP systems, including SAP and BPC, to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Lead system enhancements, automation initiatives, and process standardization efforts
- Ensure data integrity across financial systems and reporting tools
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and development to accounting staff while fostering a high-performing, collaborative team environment
- Support strategic initiatives, special projects, and process improvement efforts
- Partner with senior management to support financial and operational objectives
- Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive financial information
