Position: Fulfilment Supervisor
Location: Kelowna Distribution Center, BC
 
The Fulfilment Supervisor – L106 is responsible for all outbound activity at the L106 DC. They will ensure all products are picked accurately, on time, to the daily schedule and wrapped properly, labelled, with proper Dangerous Goods paperwork and stickers, and stage for night drivers.
 
What you’ll do: 
  • Inspire your team to give our customers and stores the best possible experience each and every time they interact with the L106 distribution center.
  • Assist reporting Leads in identifying, developing, and implementing KPIs for their area with set goals. Ensure all departments consistently meet these KPIs.
  • Ensure Quick picks are completed within 15 mins and set out for pick up. Communicate with other department heads when addition resources are required to maintain the set standard or give help to other areas if caught up.
  • Supervise the outbound team, including recruitment, coaching, scheduling, goal setting, development, evaluation, and disciplinary actions.
  • Check in with Store Replenishment and Quick Pick Leads to ensure all picks are completed and with the shipper to ensure skids are wrapped for transport clearly marked for the correct store and staged with proper paperwork and placards.
  • Initiate, co-ordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures for all outbound activities within the L106 DC.
  • Provide guidance on warehouse layout to ensure efficient and safe space utilization within the L106 DC. Work with leadership to ensure all products scan and are clearly marked; bin located.
  • Use the closing check list to make sure warehouse is clean and secure and all duties are completed.
  • Answer the phone, field store questions and resolve any picking or shipping errors.
  • Ensure the lead’s team members take their breaks and return from them at their assigned times.
  • Promote safety within the workplace and adhere to all WorkSafe and other government regulations. Track lost time, safety supplies and address investigation issues.
  • Ensure the team has all tools required to do their work efficiently IE Toner, paper, boxes and pallets.
  • Submit Weekly and monthly reports to the Kelowna DC Manager by Monday each week and the Friday following each month end. Which would include each department stats, goal updates, challenges, successes and staffing updates
  • Keep current with system and product knowledge.
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned by management.
Standards:
  • Maintain an average picking accuracy rate of 99.5% or better.
  • Ensure all Quick Pick / Special orders are ready for pick up within 15 minutes of dropping to the warehouse.
  • Strive to obtain 100% of the replen store orders are shipped every day.
  • Maintain a team average units picked per day of 55 lines per hour.
  • Correct labelling and documentation is in place for all TDG shipments
 
Goals and Objectives:
  • Keep the warehouse organized and tidy at all times by using 5S principles. “A place for everything and everything in its place.”
  • Hold Daily 10 min. huddles to review the last 24 hrs and set priorities for the next 24 hrs allows for collaboration and shared resources.
  • Keep teams average Lines per hour for Replen picking >40 L/Hr and Quick Picks > 15 L/Hr
  • Have all Quick Picks invoiced within 15 minutes of dropping to the warehouse
  • Respond to all store inquiries within one business day
  • Work with your team to remove waste from their processes
 
Do you fit the part?
  • At least 2 years warehouse supervisor experience.
  • Familiar with RF scanners, Conveyor systems and leading the work of others.
  • Forklift and order picker certifications.
  • Must be willing to work as a member of a team and be flexible in undertaking a variety of duties that will contribute to the success of the organization.
  • Requires the ability to work with basic computer applications
  • Good math skills and attention to details
  • Solid understanding of health and safety regulations
  • Requires the ability to be organized, multitask, and solve problems.
