Scheduling Coordinator
Job Description
Serves as primary contact for all course scheduling matters. Responsible for course creation and maintenance, semester schedule creation process, changes to the scheduled sections, final exam schedule, maintenance of room usage, and oversight of the scheduling software. Responsible for data requests, primarily associated with course scheduling, but also may assist with other data requests for the Office of the Registrar. Serves as the back-up to the University Registrar for the University Catalog and Curriculum Management software. Responsible for processing various transactions related to student academic records and registrations. Provides customer service for walk-ins, phones, and the main Registrar email account.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Works closely with colleges on course creation and maintenance, semester schedules, final exam schedule, room usage.
- Point of contact for classroom requests, including but not limited to, class schedule changes, meetings in classroom space, Conference Center event requests that require classroom space.
- Data requests.
- Performs updates to student records, including but not limited to registration overrides, withdrawal requests, FERPA waivers, and grade changes.
- Supervision of student workers.
- Respond to emails from applicants, students, parents, faculty, and staff.
- Answer phones 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Monday – Friday.
- In-person customer service 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Monday – Friday.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education Bachelor’s degree (BA, BS, etc.)
Experience 1 to 3 years of job-related experience in higher education preferred
Licenses or Certifications None
Financial Responsibility None
Supervision Supervisory experience, team leadership, managerial experience, organizational skills
Special Knowledge Microsoft platform including Excel and Word; proficiency with student records systems; knowledge of FERPA.
