What is one of the first things you notice when you walk up to a vehicle? The paint job! Our sanders create the foundation for a great paint job. They use various hand tools to smooth surfaces in preparation for the paint department.

Daily Tasks

• Sand, grind, and smooth metal surfaces to prepare for paint.
• Remove imperfections like spatter, sharp edges, and blemishes.
• Apply body filler (Bondo) to correct surface defects.
• Spot weld holes and repair minor dents and scratches.
• Inspect parts to ensure they meet paint-ready quality standards.

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn and be trained.
• Reliable with a strong work ethic.
• Comfortable working with hand tools in a manufacturing setting.
• Previous metal finishing or auto body schooling or experience is a plus.
