
Casual Night Cleaner - ONE SPA
Job Description
The Night Spa Cleaner is responsible for the meticulous overnight cleaning, preparation and care of all spa facilities to ensure the spa is presented to the highest standard for guests the following day. Working independently within a small team during night‑time hours, this role requires exceptional attention to detail, a strong understanding of spa environments, and a high level of safety awareness, particularly when working around wet areas and swimming pool facilities.
Key areas of responsibility include the deep cleaning and resetting of all spa areas such as changing rooms, wet facilities, swimming pool surrounds, sauna, steam room, ice fountain areas, experience showers, relaxation lounges, treatment corridors and staff back‑of‑house areas. The role involves the correct use, handling and storage of approved cleaning chemicals, ensuring surfaces, finishes, glass, stone, tiles, wood and specialist spa equipment are cleaned and maintained in line with brand, safety and manufacturer guidelines.
The Night Spa Cleaner ensures all spa amenities are replenished and presented correctly, treatment rooms and spa spaces are reset according to operational standards, and all equipment, fixtures and fittings are checked for cleanliness with damage reported to the supervisor. Particular care must be taken around delicate finishes, spa technology, thermal suites and poolside areas to maintain quality and longevity.
A strong focus on health and safety is essential, including safe working practices around swimming pools and wet floors, appropriate signage, correct chemical dilution, and adherence to COSHH, pool safety and lone‑working procedures. Any hazards, faults, water quality concerns or maintenance issues must be reported promptly.
Although this is primarily a night‑time, non‑guest‑facing role, the Night Spa Cleaner must respond professionally to any requests from other departments, maintain confidentiality, and ensure the spa is fully prepared for a seamless guest experience at opening. Maintaining a strong understanding of Marriott Policies and Procedures, as well as ensuring compliance with all online training is critical to success.
