Responsibilities

The Medical Assistant provides Front/Back office duties to various Pulmonary providers in an outpatient setting. This position is a traveling MOS who will be primarily supporting providers at Mercy Downtown and Lutherville Personal Physicans.


Front Office Duties:

  • Greet patients in a courteous and friendly manner, providing a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments and procedures
  • Verify patient insurance information and collect co-pays or fees as needed.
  • Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information to patients and other callers.
  • Complete patient check-in and check-out processes

Back Office Duties:

  • Take patient vital signs, record medical histories, and update electronic health records (EHR).
  • Administer injections and immunizations as directed by healthcare providers. (on-site training provided)
  • Provide patient education and instructions as directed by healthcare providers.

Requirements

  • Education and Work Experience:
    • High School Diploma or GED
    • A minimum of one-year experience in a medical office setting (preferred)

USD $20.32/Hr.

Max

USD $33.53/Hr.
