Job Description

About the Company

We are a fast-growing party & seasonal retail company launching in the Bay Area market. Think Party City — but reimagined with a modern store experience, deeper service offerings, and a culturally inclusive approach covering holidays across communities: Halloween, Christmas, Easter, Chinese New Year, Diwali, and more.

Backed by $20M in founder-owned capital — no outside investors, no fundraising uncertainty — we're building our core team from the ground up. Five Bay Area locations are opening by end of summer 2025, with two already signed. This is a ground-floor opportunity to help build a new retail brand in one of the most diverse markets in the U.S.

About the Role

We're looking for a Store Manager who brings energy, ownership mentality, and genuine excitement about building something new. This is not a "maintain the status quo" role — you'll be one of the first Store Managers on the team, working directly with the founding team to set the tone for how our stores operate, feel, and grow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all day-to-day store operations including staffing, scheduling, inventory, merchandising, and customer experience
  • Build and maintain a high-energy store culture that reflects the brand
  • Recruit, onboard, and develop Supervisors and Store Associates
  • Drive sales performance and meet store KPIs
  • Manage seasonal product rotations and holiday-themed displays
  • Partner with HQ on store setup, pre-opening execution, and ongoing operations
  • Handle loss prevention, compliance, and store safety standards

What We're Looking For

  • 3–7 years of retail store management experience
  • Experience with new store openings a strong plus
  • Background in high-SKU, high-traffic retail environments preferred (Party City, Spirit Halloween, Daiso, Miniso, Five Below, Target, Michaels, etc.)
  • Energetic communicator who can motivate a team and engage customers
  • Self-starter who doesn't need to be told what to do every day
  • Adaptable and comfortable in a fast-moving startup environment
  • Bilingual (English/Chinese or other languages) a plus, not required
