Corporation Tax Manager

Description
We’re now looking for a Corporation Tax Manager to join our Corporate Tax team, with flexibility to be based in any of our offices.
The Role
- Act as the tax allocation manager for a portfolio of c.100 corporate clients, predominantly owner-managed businesses.
- Oversee the compliance function across your client portfolio, including attending pre year end and completion audit meetings with Audit teams as required.
- Proactively anticipate client needs across areas such as R&D, capital allowance claims, structuring and succession planning.
- Build trusted relationships with clients, acting as a key point of contact and delivering an exceptional service.
- Take responsibility for WIP, billing and fee discussions.
- Oversee the day to day operations of a Corporate Tax team within the relevant office.
- Mentor and develop junior colleagues, from Tax Trainee to Assistant Management level.
- Liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients as appropriate.
- Identify opportunities to introduce wider BHP services such as Corporate Finance and Financial Planning.
- Contribute to business development activity, including networking, thought leadership and process improvement initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the firm to deliver a joined-up service.
- Stay up to date with tax legislation and share knowledge with both clients and colleagues.
- Have the potential to get involved in the preparation and delivery of tax advisory assignments in respect of client portfolio for partner review.
The Requirements
- Be ACA and/or CTA qualified (or qualified by experience).
- Have strong UK corporate tax knowledge and experience.
- Have proven experience managing client relationships and delivering a high-quality service.
- Be confident communicating with a wide range of clients and colleagues.
- Be highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Have experience leading and developing junior team members.
- Broader tax knowledge or experience with other taxes is desirable, but not essential.
