NP/PA - Interventional Radiology Clinic

Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our well-established, Interventional Radiology Clinic in Upstate South Carolina. New grads will be considered, but 2-3 years of APP experience is preferred. 

Position Highlights

• Monday- Friday; dayshift position on-site 
• No nights, no call, no weekends 
• Outpatient new patient visits for patients referred for IR consult
• Inpatient rounds (low daily census volume) – includes follow up post-procedure inpatients and occasionally new consults
• Review surgical patient charts and document pre-procedure evaluation/H&P
• Review EKGs, labs, cardiac and pulmonary history to determine if patient is appropriate for surgery or if additional intervention is needed
• Review prior anesthetic history for previous anesthetic complications
• Review home medications and follow approved protocols for pre-surgery medication administration instructions
• Potential for opportunity to perform basic IR procedures (i.e. paracentesis, thoracentesis, lumbar puncture)
• Peer-to-peer reviews with insurance companies that require peer-to-peer review before procedure can be authorized/scheduled
