Accounting Clerk | Hotel Celare, A Marriott Tribute Portfolio
Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable full-time Hotel Accounting Clerk to join our hospitality team. This position plays a key role in supporting the hotel’s daily accounting and financial operations while ensuring accuracy, organization, and timely processing of financial information.
The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of accounting, bookkeeping, or hotel finance experience and possess strong organizational and communication skills. Competitive pay based on experience and a full benefits package available for eligible employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable invoices and submit all hotel invoices to the Corporate Office in a timely manner.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve billing discrepancies
- Prepare and manage hotel cash deposits
- Write and process checks as needed
- Maintain and balance property petty cash/on-hand cash funds
- Handle group billing functions, including posting payments and distributing invoices to clients
- Assist with month-end accounting tasks and financial reporting support
- Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems
- Communicate professionally with vendors, guests, corporate staff, and hotel departments
- Support the General Manager and Area Controller with additional accounting and administrative requests
- Ensure compliance with company and franchise accounting procedures and internal controls
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of accounting, bookkeeping, accounts payable, or hotel finance experience preferred
- Hospitality or hotel experience is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Experience with hotel property management systems or accounting software preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential financial information professionally
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
