Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Production Engineer to join our manufacturing team in South Korea. The ideal candidate will be responsible for optimizing production processes, ensuring product quality, minimizing downtime, and driving continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor to meet production targets safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process Optimization & Production Support: Monitor daily production operations, identify bottlenecks, and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, yield, and throughput.
• Troubleshooting: Provide immediate technical support to resolve equipment, tooling, and process issues on the production line to minimize downtime.
• Quality & EHS Compliance: Ensure all production activities strictly comply with company quality standards, SOPs, and local EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) regulations.
• Continuous Improvement: Lead or participate in Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Six Sigma projects to reduce waste, optimize cycle time, and lower production costs.
• NPI & Equipment Management: Collaborate with R&D and Maintenance teams for equipment installation, calibration, and the smooth transition of New Product Introductions (NPI) into mass production.
• Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze production data (OEE, yield, scrap rate), generate daily/weekly performance reports, and present actionable insights to management.
• Training & Documentation: Develop, update, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WI); train production operators and technicians.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Production/Process/Manufacturing Engineer in a high-volume manufacturing environment. (Chemical industry preferred).
• Language Skills: Native proficiency in Korean and professional working proficiency in English.
• Technical Skills: Solid knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, SPC (Statistical Process Control), and ERP systems. Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar engineering software is a plus.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Experience working in a multinational corporation (MNC) or global manufacturing setup.
