Job Description

Springfield Clinic, one of the largest multi-specialty physician-owned medical practices in Illinois, is seeking a dedicated Advanced Practitioner to join our Trauma Surgery team. Our commitment to quality, safety, service, and innovation ensures exceptional patient care for the central Illinois community.

Position Highlights:

  • Level I Trauma Center - St. John’s Hospital
  • Collaborate with a highly skilled team of 7 APPs and 6 physicians
  • Block scheduling with 12-hour night shifts. Primarily day shift, with rotating night and weekend coverage. 
  • Team covers 3 areas - Emergency surgery, trauma surgery, and trauma ICU
  • Comprehensive training provided on multiple advanced procedures

Qualifications:

  • Certified Nurse Practitioner (APRN) or a certified Physician Assistant (PA)
  • Acute Care Certification preferred for APRN candidates
  • Current Illinois licensure or eligibility to obtain
  • ACLS, BLS, PALS required upon start
  • Experience in trauma, emergency medicine, or critical care preferred
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
