Join our Downer Professional Services team and play a key role in delivering complex defence and national security projects that safeguard Australia’s future.
Downer Professional Services is comprised of two business units, our Technical, Advisory, and Capability consulting practice and Team Downer, a major service partner to Defence. Together, we are a multi-disciplinary advisory and delivery partner of choice for our clients in Defence and National Security.
We currently have an opportunity for an Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Officer, based in ACT to work on Defence Joint Data Networks Projects.
What You’ll Do
These roles offer a broad scope, with key role responsibilities including:
- Provide logistics support across RAM, sparing, LORA, costing, capability transition, and Fundamental Inputs to Capability (FIC)
- Plan, manage and coordinate logistics activities including supply chain, storage and distribution
- Monitor work practices, set priorities, and contribute to development of local logistics procedures
- Liaise with suppliers, stakeholders, and Defence representatives to support project outcomes
- Provide technical ILS advice to support project planning, design, and acquisition activities
What You’ll Bring
- Qualifications in Business Administration, Logistics or Supply Chain, with relevant MILIS competency
- Experience planning and managing logistics, supply chain, and warehousing activities
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and organisational skills
- Experience working within integrated project teams and engaging with multiple stakeholders
- Exposure to Defence projects, MILIS functions, or C2/Tactical Data Link environments (desirable)
Due to the nature of the work, the successful applicant must hold and maintain an AGSVA Security Clearance, as required by the Commonwealth. In some cases, compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) may also be required.
