
Home Health & Hospice Clinical Educator
Job Description
The Home Health and Hospice Clinical Educator is key for providing orientation, training, and education for clinical personnel, to ensure consistent standards of practice and competencies in delivery of patient care. In this role you will accomplish this by planning, developing, and implementing educational programs to support new hire orientation, ongoing staff development, and competency evaluation.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Monday to Friday- 8am to 5pm
Assess staff training and education needs.
Develop and implements education content that is individualized to the learner’s needs.
Utilize evidence-based practice to develop, coordinate, maintain, evaluate, and improve the orientation process.
Monitor and document orientation process.
Mentor and train staff in live classroom or virtual settings as well as during in-person shared visits.
Support staff development through a mixed modality of educational opportunities including, in-service, certification training groups, 1:1 sessions, web-based, and virtual formats.
Act as a change agent by introducing and supporting new ideas as well as assisting in the implementation and sustainment of change strategies.
Facilitate communication between management, staff, ancillary departments, and professional contacts across the system.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree- (BSN)- Nursing- Required OR Must be enrolled in a BSN program with a completion date of 18 to 24 months from obtaining position.
Master's Degree- Nursing Education/Leadership/Clinical Nurse Specialist- Preferred
3 Years- Nursing/Patient Care Experience- Preferred
2 Years- Department Specific Knowledge Experience- Preferred
Registered Nurse (RN)- State Licensing Board- Required
Basic Life Support Program (BLS)- American Heart Association- Required
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)- American Heart Association- Required
Board Certification (BRD CERT)- Preferred
