Position Summary: Working collaboratively with physicians and hospital leadership to manage daily medical group operations across multiple specialties and locations.
The Administrative Director, Medical Group Operations provides leadership, management, and vision to ensure that Premier Suburban Medical Group achieves the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and people in place to effectively grow the organization and ensure financial strength and operational efficiency.
The Administrative Director must be a fast learner, thrive in dynamic organizations, and bring innovation as well as a culture of accountability. In addition, this leader will be a results-oriented individual who can achieve success in a highly complex, matrixed, and growing organization. The Administrative Director will be comfortable collaborating with physicians as well as executives and will possess outstanding communication and influencing skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides daily management and mentorship of Medical Group operations teams
- Responsible for the strategic growth of services across the Medical Group by adding new regional partners, technology, and offerings and implementing services that achieve desired patient-centered, cost-effective outcomes
- Meets regularly with physicians to review financial performance, key quality performance indicators, and progress towards strategic tactics
- Directs and manages strategic objectives for areas such as patient flow, patient satisfaction, practice/ancillary volume, billing & collections, service utilization, and physician/staff training
- Builds effective partnerships with hospital and medical group operations team and demonstrates ability to manage complex matrix relationships to achieve goals
- Participates in development of the Medical Group strategic plan
- Executes initiatives outlined in strategic plan including but not limited to provider recruitment and on-boarding, new service implementation, compensation model, access and growth goals.
- Operationalizes new ambulatory sites on-time & budget
- Member of PSMG (Premier Suburban Medical Group) Leadership team
Support special projects and other engagements
Required Qualifications:
- Track record of success in standardizing and streamlining operations, preferably across multiple departments, ultimately reducing costs and improving profits.
- Self-motivated and execution-oriented with a high degree of comfortability with autonomy and strong problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated excellent financial competence and operational rigor as well as exceptional communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills.
- Original thinker that develops innovative approaches and ideas; meets challenges with resourcefulness, generates suggestions for improving work, and course correction when necessary.
- Exceptional people management and motivational skills and a track record of successfully leading and building motivated, high-performing teams.
- A team player with a hands-on, direct approach to problem solving coupled with the ability to listen to and involve managers as needed to assure resolution.
- Budgeting and financial experience including a thorough understanding of financial statements.
- The ideal candidate will bring a strong patient care orientation and a proven track record of building strong relationships with clinicians and care teams.
- Strong executive presence and comfortable interfacing with key stakeholders; an ability to present idea and information in a credible manner that gets others’ attention.
Education and Training:
- BA/BS in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Finance or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of management experience

The final pay rate offered may be more than the posted range based on several factors including but not limited to: licensure, certifications, work experience, education, knowledge, demonstrated abilities, internal equity, market data, and more.
The expected pay for this position is listed below:
$57.07 - $72.77
