Requirements:
- 1 year of experience preferred
- Flu Vaccine Required – No Exemptions
- Required Licensure/Certification: SC Registered Dental Hygienist
- Education - associate degree- Dental Hygiene
Job Description Summary:
- Provides routine dental prophylaxis, supports patient education, and helps train dental hygiene students with minimal supervision. May also need access to medication storage areas and perform procedures involving medications.
- Perform oral prophylaxis; remove hard and soft deposits and stains from the surfaces of teeth; polish all surfaces of teeth.
- Apply topical fluoride to the teeth.
- Expose and develop radiographs.
- Give oral hygiene instruction and counseling.
- Provide nutrition and dietary counseling.
- Make and confirm appointments.
- Review medical and dental health history.
- Take and record blood pressure.
- Chart dental disease.
- Utilization of Epic Wisdom for charting and charge entry.
Schedule:
- 7:30 AM-4:30 PM Monday -Thursday and Friday’s 7:30 AM-12:30 PM
