Job Description
Hobby Lobby Stores, Inc., a privately-held company based in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Employee Relations Representative within the Corporate HR Department. This full-time, hourly (non-exempt) position is located at Hobby Lobby’s corporate campus in Oklahoma City. This position works closely with other members of the HR/Benefits/Leave/Legal Department.

Position Overview
The Employee Relations Representative supports the Employee Relations Specialists in addressing and resolving HR issues and partners with Employee Relations Specialists to ensure compliance with Company policies and local, state, and federal employment laws. This position reports to the Employee Relations Supervisor.

The Employee Relations Representative supports the Employee Relations Specialists in addressing and resolving HR issues and partners with Employee Relations Specialists to ensure compliance with Company policies and local, state, and federal employment laws. This position reports to the Employee Relations Supervisor.
Responsibilities include:
- Advise managers on appropriate action regarding personnel issues in accordance with Company policies and federal, state, and municipal laws
- Respond to Unemployment claims and assist with gathering documentation for hearings
- Field phone calls and emails from employees, analyze the needs of the employee, and either responding to the employee or referring the matter to an Employee Relations Specialist
- Respond to requests for personnel files and employment verifications
- Perform other related tasks and duties as assigned
- Required work on weekends, as needed
