What you will be doing:
With this attractive opportunity you will get a chance to:
Assemble sub-systems and cubic engine components using various tools, gauges, devices, Loctite, liquid nitrogen, lubricants, and specialized equipment.
Operate CNC HELLER machining centers with Siemens 840D controllers according to instructions, routings, control plans, production requirements, and diagrams.
Read, study, and interpret blueprints, machining/assembly instructions, specifications manuals, job orders, routings, and control plans to determine sequences of operations, setups, and requirements.
Compile workpieces, components, and materials per specifications; inspect, document, and report defects.
Select appropriate materials and tooling required for machining and assembly of cubic engine components.
Position and align components for assembly into larger mounting elements and verify part clearances.
Perform leak testing and functional testing of parts and assemblies using multiple processes and technologies.

Position Qualifications:
2 years in a mechanical, maintenance or machining trade school OR
Equivalent associate’s degree; OR
5 years of experience in a heavy-duty machining environment.
Shift: (Day Working Shift) - Monday-Thursday 5:45am-4:15pm.
Ability to work any shift and overtime as required.

Preferred qualifications:
Intermediate knowledge of CNC-controls (preferred SIEMENS 840 D Controllers) machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
Intermediate ability to interpret Statistical Process Control (SPC) and operate scanning devices for system communications
Intermediate knowledge of manufacturing and production processes, raw materials, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of goods (Quality Alerts, Second Checks, etc.)
Intermediate knowledge of OSHA safety requirements and the ability to use relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations or standards
Intermediate troubleshooting and problem-solving skills where problems are complex
Experience as a CNC milling operator and with SIEMANS 840D Control System Knowledge of MTU products, policies and procedures.
