Job Summary

The HR Coordinator will primarily be responsible for providing day-to-day HR support while also helping to drive multiple HR related processes, projects, programs, and initiatives throughout assigned business units.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and be able to work quickly, yet efficiently, in a high-paced, dynamic environment.

This role reports to the Senior HR Business Partner in Corporate and supports U.S. Corporate Functions and Bermuda based stakeholders and leadership.

There is a strong preference for this role to be hybrid to the Raleigh, NC office with two days in the office and three days remote. Consideration will be given to remote candidates in the NC area who can travel into the Raleigh office on a regular basis.

Job Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for entering and managing HRIS (Workday) transactions; monitor approval workflows, follow up on outstanding actions, and ensure data accuracy and integrity
  • Maintain and update employee data in Workday, including processing employee changes and supporting data cleanup initiatives
  • Generate HR reports and metrics, including tracking key data points and responding to reporting requests from HR and business stakeholders
  • Coordinate onboarding processes by initiating new hires in Workday, conducting new hire orientation sessions, tracking start dates, and supporting new hire inquiries
  • Facilitate onboarding logistics by partnering with IT and internal teams to ensure timely equipment setup, system access, and employee readiness
  • Manage new hire communications, including welcome emails and onboarding materials; coordinate swag distribution and maintain inventory
  • Schedule and coordinate I-9 verification in compliance with federal requirements
  • Serve as a key point of contact for employees by responding to general inquiries and escalating issues as appropriate; manage and triage the HR shared inbox
  • Provide employment verification letters and respond to external employment verification requests
  • Support compliance and audit initiatives by maintaining organized employee records, preparing required documentation (e.g., SOC 2, SOX), and ensuring adherence to company policies
  • Support employment-based immigration processes, including coordinating visa workflows (H-1B, TN, L-1, etc.), assisting with PERM recruitment steps, partnering with external counsel, and tracking case timelines and required documentation
  • Assist in executing HR programs and initiatives, including performance management, employee engagement, training, and other people-related programs
  • Perform other duties, projects, and responsibilities as assigned

Required Skills/Experience

  • 1-3+ years of experience in an HR related position
  • Proficiency with Workday (HRIS); knowledge of core HCM, time & absence, and onboarding/off-boarding modules are a plus
  • Experience with the immigration process from an employment perspective is preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams, RingCentral
  • Must be exceptionally detail oriented and client service focused
  • Exceptional organizational and process improvement skills
  • Fundamental understanding of compensation and benefits programs
  • Able to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
  • Must be able to operate in a fast paced, ambiguous environment
  • Must be experienced in effectively managing complexities in workload and multiple levels of leadership

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or equivalent work experience
  • SHRM-CP preferred
