Waste Disposal Operator
Team or Function Overview:
Hydromax Services is a growing service organization operating across both plumbing and hauling divisions. We are committed to operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and building efficient systems that support our field teams. The 3rd Shift Waste Disposal Operator is responsible for the collection and transport of waste to disposal facilities. Operating heavy-duty commercial vehicles requiring current CDL A or B with tanker endorsement this position works closely with dispatch to complete scheduled routes, perform daily vehicle inspections, and respond to customer service needs as required. The role requires a clean driving record, and DOT compliance.

Position Summary
The Waste Disposal Operator position operates as dual role. This position is responsible for transporting waste collected to the waste disposal facility and properly disposal of the load. In addition, this position will also perform the delivery, service cleanings and pickups of portable sanitation units.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a heavy-duty automatic or manual residential or commercial waste collection vehicle
- Deliver, perform service cleanings and pickups of portables as scheduled by dispatch
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip safety inspection
- Collect and transport waste as scheduled by dispatch
- Maintain necessary paperwork for day-to-day operations
- Navigate field service mobile applications
- Notify dispatch or manager of any issues with the assigned vehicle
- Operate other related sanitation equipment as needed
- Make special service runs as required to attend and resolve customer complaints
- Other duties as assigned
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to bend, squat, crouch, reach and lift 50+ pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform manual labor for extended periods
- Work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and rain
- May be required to work in confined spaces and/or near heavy equipment
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required, including hats, gloves, and safety vests
Qualifications & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years’ experience operating a commercial vehicle preferred
- OSHA 10 certification preferred
Performance Expectations
- Acceptable driving record; safe driving practices
- Ability to pass the DOT medical card physical exam as needed
- Ability to pass random DOT’s drug and alcohol test selected by applicable consortium
- Ability to navigate vehicles in tight roads/driveways
- Ability to lift 75lbs and push 175lbs
- Customer focused
- Knowledge of occupational safety hazards and safety precautions
- Ability to work in exposed outdoor weather, conditions, fumes, noxious odors, dust, mists, gases and toxic chemicals/waste
- Ability to work flexible schedules as needed for assigned projects
- Ability to participate in assigned on-call rotation to include evenings, weekends and holidays
Requirements
- Current CDL A or B with acceptable driving record
- Tanker Endorsement
