We are looking for a Group Collections and Commissions Specialist for our Group Actuarial team. This role is responsible for providing service to our clients and advisors on matters related to Premium collection and Advisor Compensation as well as processing related tasks in our administration systems. We are a busy team, so strong communication skills, multi-tasking, high level of accuracy and attention to detail are a must. Work Arrangements: This is a hybrid role. You will work in our office in Waterloo, ON a minimum of two (2) assigned, consecutive days every other week, plus a fifth (5th) assigned day per month. You are welcome to work from the office more than the minimum requirement and there may be some roles that are required to work in our office more than the minimum requirement.
What you’ll do:
Supporting our advisors and clients in resolving queries about commissions and premium payments.
Collaborating with people at various levels of the organization in relationship management
Ensuring advisor errors & omissions/required licensing is up to date.
Assisting with agent of record (AOR) changes.
Processing transactions on our administration systems
Processing payments to advisors
Preparing commission and premium reconciliations using excel
Supporting workload management for overall Group Collections and Commissions team
Ensure strong internal controls and service standards are achieved
What you’ll bring:
Post secondary education
Excellent communication skills, including effective listening and the ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
Superior customer service skills with phone and email etiquette.
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
Self motivated drive that strives for continuous improvement
Minimum 2 years of collections and commissions processing related insurance industry experience
Strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
Ability to prepare/manipulate MS Excel based numeric reconciliation
Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
