The opportunity
Join our GIS and GCB Service team and contribute to meaningful Continuous Improvement initiatives that drive quality, efficiency, and operational excellence. In this role, you will take ownership of small improvement projects, analyze service and operational data, and help create sustainable solutions that support our customers and internal stakeholders. You will work closely with experienced experts across Service, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain while gaining hands-on experience in project management, Lean methodologies, and data-driven decision-making. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to develop practical skills, build a strong understanding of GIS and GCB service processes, and potentially continue your work through a Bachelor's or Master's thesis based on real business challenges. The internship duration is 6 months.
How you'll make an impact
Execute Continuous Improvement projects within the GIS and GCB Service organization
Apply the Gated 6P Model to structure projects through defined phases, milestones, and deliverables
Analyze product, failure, material, and transactional data to identify improvement opportunities
Collect, structure, and manage relevant data sources while coordinating data ownership across functions
Visualize roles, responsibilities, and data ownership to enhance transparency and governance
Utilize internal systems and databases, including SAP, Power BI, and failure databases, to perform data-driven analyses
Develop and implement measures that improve quality, efficiency, and process stability
Support process standardization through documentation, templates, reports, dashboards, and management presentations
Your background
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Data Analytics, Business Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field
Strong analytical skills and interest in Continuous Improvement and operational excellence
Basic knowledge of data analysis and visualization tools such as Excel, Power BI, or similar
Structured and proactive approach to problem solving and project coordination
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across different functions
Fluent written and spoken English
