Job Description
American Health Imaging is seeking a Full-Time Float CT Technologist to join our team. This position offers a consistent schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, providing excellent work-life balance.
Float locations include: Decatur, Buckhead, Lawrenceville, Sandy Springs, Gainesville, Athens, Marietta, and Johns Creek but could vary depending on where candidate lives.
**Mileage reimbursement will be provided for travel to any locations outside of your designated home base**
Duties/Responsibilities:
Demonstrates the company’s values in daily activities
Performs complex tasks associated with the operation of CT scanners and related equipment to produce cross-section images of patients’ internal organs and tissues for the diagnosis of medical issues
Positions patients for CT scans using immobilization and protective equipment to comply with government regulations and to ensure the safety of patients and staff
Screens patients for CT safety prior to procedure performance
Starts I.V.’s, administers contrast media as directed and per protocol
Evaluates CT scans for technical quality, collate processed images and sequence of exposure and labels appropriately
Loads and operates power injectors for contrast media administration
Applies the profession's code of ethics in all aspects of practice
Maintains knowledge of, observes, and enforces the safety measures in the Environment of Care
Maintains accurate patient records.
Assists in other modalities as requested and as allowed by licensure/certification
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of and adherence to company policies and protocols
Knowledge of and adherence to HIPAA and safety guidelines
Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy
Knowledge of current technical skills and procedural understanding to perform a full range of scanning procedures
Knowledge of and adherence to ALARA principles
Knowledge of basic level computer skills
Skill in organizing and prioritizing work and following assignments through to completion
Skill in written and verbal communication
Ability to operate and adjust scanning and ancillary equipment
Ability to take initiative to improve processes, think strategically, and identify trends
Ability to provide open, honest feedback to improve decision-making
Ability to maintain and build constructive relationships that produce results
Ability to work independently, as a team, and in a fast-paced environment and meet established deadlines
Ability to be flexible in schedule and adaptable to constant change
Ability to effectively handle details with accuracy
Ability to maintain regular attendance and on-time approval to work as scheduled
Ability to deliver high-quality customer service to internal and external customers by communicating with integrity and compassion
Ability to resolve service recovery issues and understand when to escalate to the next level

Education and Experience:
Graduate of 24-month AMA-approved School of Radiology Technology
12 months previous experience in diagnostic radiology or other imaging modality
ARRT certification in Computed Tomography
Applicable State Licensure, where required
IV credentialed if applicable
BLS certification preferred
