Job Description
The Office of the Utah Attorney General is seeking an Assistant Attorney General for the Financial Intelligence Center Section within the Financial Crimes Division. The Financial Crimes Intelligence Center (FCIC) serves as a centralized reporting hub for banking and financial institutions, as well as the public, staffed by a team of financial crime investigators and prosecutors. The FCIC’s centralized approach helps identify and address patterns of criminal activity across multiple financial institutions, contributing to enhanced public safety. The attorney will collaborate closely with other attorneys, criminal investigators, analysts, and forensic accountants. This position focuses on handling assigned cases, conducting legal research and writing, and presenting the State’s case at all stages of the criminal process, including jury trials. The attorney will provide legal counsel to law enforcement, offer recommendations, and facilitate decisions related to criminal matters. The role requires strong written and oral advocacy skills, the ability to work effectively in a professional team environment with other attorneys, support staff, and investigative agencies, and the capacity to manage an existing caseload immediately.
