In this role, you will design impactful spaces for The Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints, working alongside a team of Architects, Engineers, and construction experts in our Religious & Cultural market
The ideal candidate for this position is an experienced and creative Interior Designer who has the capability of managing and executing interior design efforts on projects and enjoys working in a team-based setting through all phases of the design and construction process
Job Responsibilities: Perform interior design duties related to programming, space planning, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration Determine and satisfy building code and sustainability requirements Select and specify interior finishes, furniture, lighting, artwork, and interior signage Produce presentation graphics in the form of drawings, sketches, 3D models, and renderings to appropriately convey design vision to clients and end users Generate interior construction documents including finish plans, furniture plans, reflected ceiling plans, elevations, sections, details, and schedules Coordinate with the design and construction team, consultants, vendors, and owners Participate in field verification, site inspections, shop drawing review, and other related construction administration activities Collaborate with other interior design staff Education/Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design from a CIDA accredited school 10+ years of interior design experience Specific Knowledge, Skills, License, Certifications: NCIDQ Certification (required) Proficient with Revit, Word, Excel, Bluebeam and other graphics related programs
Experience using Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp or other 3-D modeling programs is preferred Sustainability credentials such as LEED AP or WELL AP preferred Strong presentation and communication skills Design portfolio of significant built or unbuilt work - prepared to share contributions with the project teams

Environmental Factors and/or Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds
Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information
The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear
