Product Owner Policy Migration – Consumer – Adelaide and Sydney ( 9 months Contract)

About the role

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of the Policy Migration workstream within the Duck Creek Program, working closely with the Product Manager to design, test, and implement solutions and ensure integration with Allianz systems and processes.
  • Own the migration of legacy policies into Duck Creek, primarily through a renewal-based approach over 12 months, ensuring a smooth transition from old to new systems.
  • Drive data mapping by translating legacy system data into Duck Creek structures, determining what should and should not migrate, and ensuring data quality and completeness.
  • Ensure data traceability and integrity, including clear documentation of mapping decisions, validation, and reconciliation to confirm accurate migration outcomes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements, manage risks, and ensure readiness, while maintaining a deep understanding of both legacy systems and future-state needs to support a successful migration.

 

About you

  • Extensive experience leading complex programs, particularly involving policy systems and legacy data migration within (ideally) general insurance environments or IT transformation.
  • Proven track record of delivering projects end-to-end, managing scope, timelines, budget, and resolving issues in fast-paced settings.
  • Strong capability in data migration and process design, including translating strategic objectives into practical implementation (e.g., legacy-to-target system transitions).
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with Agile project delivery experience. Exposure to Duck Creek considered an advantage.
  • A passion for leveraging emerging technologies to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
