Department 428 Energy Storage is responsible for the VIRGINIA Class and COLUMBIA Class design, development, qualification, integration, and testing for the main storage battery. The Energy Storage group supports submarine construction, lifecycle of in service classes, as well as the development of future energy storage technologies and future platforms.
