Field Service Engineer Mining - Brazil
Job Description
- Responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair of sensor-based sorters in TOMRA’s install base
- Responsible for customer communication and support, including phone, remote and emergency support to ensure that all aspects of the role result in a satisfied customer experience
- Customer assistance to identify service and spare parts needs • Customer inquiry & tasks management • Training of customer maintenance and service personnel
- Detailed reporting on a regular basis • Identify opportunities for potential upgrades and sales including liaising with TOMRA’s Project Management and Sales team.
- Commitment to continuous improvement by providing feedback and suggestions on quality, efficiency and profitability
- Act positively and in a customer-oriented way
- Developing and maintaining strong customer relationships is critical to success in this role
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering (or equivalent technical qualification)
- >3 years proven experience in field service, maintenance, and troubleshooting of complex technical equipment
- Strong hands-on skills with mechanical, electrical, and software systems
- Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues independently and efficiently
- Customer-focused mindset with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to travel extensively across Brazil and occasionally internationally (approx. 150–180 days per year)
- Fluency in Portuguese and very good English skills and basic Spanish skills
- Experience with installation, commissioning, and on-site customer training
- Comfortable using digital tools, service reporting systems, and remote diagnostics
