Quality Manager – Placon

Compensation
Competitive salary based on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package. $82,000-$118,000.
Work Schedule
Full‑time | On‑site Standard business hours with occasional travel (local, regional, national, and international).

What You'll Do
- Lead, coach, mentor, and develop a team of Quality Engineers, Specialists, and Technicians
- Oversee ISO, SQF, GMP, and IMS compliance and maintain site certification status
- Manage internal audits, product safety audits, and all third‑party, regulatory, and customer audits
- Partner with departments across the company to ensure documentation, training, and procedures meet corporate quality standards
- Support New Product Development (NPD) through specifications, PFMEA/DFMEA, DOE, validation (IQ‑OQ‑PQ), and measurement methods
- Direct the creation and execution of process control plans, SPC, capability studies, and inspection methods
- Lead root cause analysis, corrective/preventive actions, and customer incident investigations
- Develop and deliver training on statistical tools, problem solving, and quality systems
- Oversee supplier quality performance, including audits and material quality monitoring
- Implement and maintain systems for calibration, GR&R, product recall readiness, and process verification
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Industrial Technology, or related technical field
- 3+ years of experience in quality engineering or process engineering in manufacturing
- 2+ years of formal experience with ISO and GMP certification standards
- Strong knowledge of statistical tools, SPC, process control, and quality improvement methods
- Experience with Microsoft Office, ERP systems (Oracle preferred), and SPC software
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to work effectively at all organizational levels
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, complex projects, and cross‑functional initiatives
- Experience in plastics or packaging manufacturing is a plus
- Active involvement in professional quality organizations (e.g., ASQ) is preferred
