The Sr. Demand Planner analyzes historical sales data, market trends, and marketing inputs to create accurate sales forecasts, ensuring optimal inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing costs. They serve as a crucial bridge between sales, marketing, finance, and supply chain, optimizing inventory flow and managing replenishment strategies.
What you will be doing:
Forecasting: Generate and maintain statistical, monthly, or quarterly demand forecasts
Collaboration: Work with sales and marketing teams to align promotions, new product launches, and market trends with inventory plans
Inventory Optimization: Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess inventory stockouts/overstock)
Data Analysis: Review historical sales data, forecast accuracy, and market trends to improve future forecasting models
Reporting: Present findings to management regarding demand trends, risks, and sales plans
What you need to be successful in this role:
Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business, finance, economics, or a related field is preferred; or experience equivalent
Over five (5) years of relevant experience in supply chain, operations, analytics, or materials management, often with supervisory responsibilities
Strong ability to analyze data, identify trends, and use statistical modeling software
Excellent verbal and written skills to work with cross-functional teams
High accuracy in data entry, SKU management, and identifying demand fluctuations
Proficiency in Software: Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
ERP systems (e.g., Oracle Fusion, SAP, Oracle)
CRM Tools (SalesForce)
Demand Planning Software (e.g., Blue Ridge, Slimstock)
Advanced MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs)
Iteris anticipates paying a base salary between $93,600 and $104,300 for this role. Actual pay offered may be below or above these amounts, depending on the individual’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
