Group Exercise Instructor
Job Description
Within Franciscan, the Group Exercise Instructor I provides class leadership, safety, and guidance in a variety of class formats, in both land or aquatic settings. This position works with members and guests of various ages and levels of fitness to help them achieve their fitness goals, documenting progress and other pertinent data. The Group Exercise Instructor I, also, is responsible for overseeing the facilities, and ensuring that equipment is used and stored safely and properly.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
- Store equipment, record attendance data, and work collaboratively with other facility departments to ensure client satisfaction.
- Respond to all types of emergencies, and following necessary, established procedures to ensure quality patient care.
- Provide safe, effective, and enthusiastic leadership of group fitness classes across various age groups and formats.
- Attend and complete all testing, training, and scheduled staff meetings.
- Provide support and assist coworkers across various departments as needed, and complete duties as assigned by the management staff.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Required High School Diploma/GED
- 1 year Group Exercise Instruction Preferred
- Unit Specific Certifications - Franciscan Alliance
- First Aid (AID) - American Heart Association
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) - American Heart Association
