The Continuous Improvement Coordinator is responsible for supporting and driving process improvement initiatives across manufacturing and distribution. This role focuses on enhancing operational efficiency, quality, safety, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and PDCA.
Major Responsibilities:
- Supports identification and analysis of process improvement opportunities
- Assists in continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen
- Coordinates workshops, value stream mapping sessions, and root cause analysis activities
- Ensures process enhancements are measurable and aligned with organizational goals
- Collects and interprets performance data to support informed decision-making
- Maintains dashboards and KPIs to monitor process performance
- Tracks cost savings, efficiency gains, and project ROI
- Prepares summaries, reports, and presentations for leadership review
- Documents current and future-state processes
- Assists in creating and maintaining SOPs and best practices documentation
- Supports compliance with internal standards and quality requirements
- Collaborates with DC leadership and cross functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Supports change management efforts
- Communicates project updates, progress and results to key stakeholders
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Associates degree or equivalent experience
- 2 years of experience in process improvement, operations, manufacturing, quality or similar roles.
Preferred Job Requirements:
- Associates Degree
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
- Knowledge of Lean tools (5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, 5 Whys, DMAIC)
- Project management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications: Excel, Teams, Outlook, and Word
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to support change management and gain stakeholder engagement
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Office Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion, the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend, or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
