
Lead Data Product Management
Job Description
Overview The Lead, Data Product Management is a hands‑on individual contributor role designed to support the day‑to‑day execution of data products while building deep expertise in Epsilon’s data systems and use cases. This role begins with a strong operational focus, supporting daily data needs, validating datasets, and assisting client‑facing teams, and evolves into a higher‑impact position that helps shape data strategy, improve processes, and scale the evolution of Data at Epsilon. You will work closely with vendors to ensure feature rollouts are documented, and internal Epsilon, Publicis Groupe, and client teams are trained. This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys working close to the data, thrives in ambiguity, has an eye for areas of automation, and wants to grow into a strategic data leader. Over time, the Lead will take on broader ownership, contribute to strategic initiatives, and play a key role in scaling both systems and team capability. Responsibilities Data Operations & Enablement (Initial Focus) Support daily data requests from internal and client‑facing teams, including reporting needs, data availability questions, and pipeline triage Validate that data is loaded, updated, and behaving as expected across Epsilon platforms Develop a deep understanding of how data flows through systems, pipelines, and downstream products Partner with Product Managers and technical teams to investigate data discrepancies or gaps Serve as a trusted point of contact for “how does this data work?” questions Documentation & Knowledge Management Create and maintain clear, practical documentation on datasets, attributes, permitted use cases, and known limitations across data sources Ensure documentation reflects how data is actually used, not just how it is designed Support training efforts for internal teams by contributing to enablement materials and walkthroughs Cross‑Functional Collaboration Work closely with Data Engineering, Data Warehouse, Audience, and Account teams to ensure data products meet business and client needs Translate business questions into data‑oriented investigations and insights Escalate risks, inconsistencies, or recurring issues with clear context and proposed paths forward Advanced Ownership and System Improvement (Over Time) Identify patterns in recurring data issues or requests and propose operational, documentation, or process improvements Support internal teams with analysis, validation, and subject‑matter expertise on data usage and limitations Develop operational monitoring to quantify data gaps and areas for improvement Help onboard and mentor more junior analysts as the team grows Contribute to improving how data products are launched, documented, and supported at scale Qualifications 4+ years of experience working with data in a professional environment, including analytics, data operations, data products, or similar roles (Postgres and Databricks SQL preferred but not required) 2+ years of hands‑on experience working with backend data systems, such as data warehouses, data pipelines, or large relational datasets (Python with SQL preferred but not required) 2+ years of experience designing and maintaining automated operational, monitoring, or data quality solutions that reduce manual effort or improve domain knowledge (Python or Bash preferred) Experience working with complex datasets across multiple sources and understanding how upstream changes impact downstream usage Familiarity with DevOps concepts (e.g., CI/CD, infrastructure‑aware development, monitoring) in the context of data systems is a plus Familiarity with data governance, data privacy concepts, or working with sensitive data (PII and/or pseudonymized data) is a plus Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience Click here to view how Epsilon transforms marketing with 1 View, 1 Vision, 1 Voice. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
