Applicants must be within driving distance to our Alpharetta, GA office to be considered for this role and have the ability to commute to the office a minimum of three days per week.

 

A day in the life.

 

As an Employee Health & Benefits Employee Benefit Eligibility Specialist, you will:

  • Process employee benefit enrollments, terminations, and changes due to qualifying new hires, terminations, qualifying life events, name and address changes, and open enrollment elections for small group health plans. 
  • Utilize carrier portals and proprietary company systems to submit, update, and log benefit elections and changes accurately and in a timely manner. 
  • Communicate with insurance carriers to resolve discrepancies or issues related to benefit elections. 
  • Maintain accurate records of all benefit transactions, ensuring compliance with company service standards and regulatory requirements. 
  • Send email confirmations to clients regarding enrollment status and changes, ensuring clear, professional, and timely communication. 
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support smooth benefits administration and resolve any system or process issues. 
  • Continuously learn and adapt to new systems, software, and carrier portal updates. 
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and values including Integrity, Collaboration, Passion, Innovation, and Accountability.

We’d love to meet you if your professional track record includes these skills:

  • Prior experience in insurance, benefits administration, or customer service is beneficial but not required. 
  • Experience working with online portals or data entry systems is a plus. 
  • Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). 
  • Ability to quickly learn and navigate Agency Management Systems, Imaging Systems, and various insurance carrier portals. 
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks accurately and meet deadlines. 
  • Effective written communication skills for professional email correspondence with clients and carriers. 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. 
  • Basic understanding of employee benefits terminology and processes is advantageous. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve discrepancies efficiently.
