Job Description:
Position Overview:
Coordinate the personnel, maintenance, and operations of the end line to achieve safety, quality, productivity, spoilage, and housekeeping requirements. Maintain operating efficiency and can quality by overseeing training, staffing and completion of required maintenance and repair of end line operations.
Duties And Responsibilities:
- Assess the training needs of end line personnel and deliver or coordinate the required programs.
- Monitor individual progress and provide constructive feedback for performance evaluations.
- Organize, schedule, and track the maintenance and repair of end line machinery and equipment.
- Review pm data to detect trends and issues to effectively manage work assignments during changeovers, maintenance days, overhauls, and plant shutdowns.
- Develop and update SOPs for end line equipment, incorporating safe work practices and detailed JSAs to ensure procedures are implemented.
- Monitor parts usage and maintain inventory levels, placing orders as necessary to ensure adequate stock of components and specialty tools for the end line team.
- Attend construction/production meetings to contribute technical expertise and suggest improvements in product quality as it relates to end line processes.
- Work with suppliers and machinery manufacturers to leverage new technologies.
- Meet with the end line team to coordinate trails and qualifications while actively giving ideas and addressing concerns to enhance information flow.
- Provide additional assistance to end line maintainers with maintenance and repairs.
- Prepare and deliver comprehensive written and verbal reports to management as needed.
- Perform other job-related duties as required.
Qualifications:
In addition to the specific responsibilities listed above, the ideal candidate will possess the following:
Minimum Requirements
- Working knowledge and experience in the operation, maintenance and overhaul of end line equipment.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in dealing with vendors, contractors, management and other employees.
- Well-developed organizing and project planning skills as well as time and resource management.
- Demonstrated ability in the use of computer and software (Excel, Word, Outlook, e-maintenance, etc.).
- High School Education/GED
Physical Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and may be required to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- The Team Member may lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.
Working Conditions:
- Generally, working in a plant environment, but may be required to perform some job duties inside a typical office setting.
- While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicular traffic.
- The Team Member may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures.
- The noise level is frequently loud.
