We are looking for a talented Assistant Golf Couse Superintendent to join our team! In this role, you’ll help oversee the daily maintenance and operation of our golf course, including turf care, irrigation scheduling, equipment upkeep, and pesticide applications. You’ll support budgeting, record‑keeping, regulatory compliance, and the supervision of the maintenance team. Your focus will be on maintaining exceptional course conditions while fostering a positive, motivated team environment for staff, members, and guests.

What you will do?

  • Assist in overseeing all golf course maintenance and agronomy operations, including turf, plants, landscapes, and environmentally protected areas.
  • Support daily grounds maintenance, construction, landscaping, irrigation management, and equipment upkeep.
  • Help plan and supervise fertilizer and pesticide applications, ensuring full compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Monitor water usage, track irrigation performance, and ensure efficient resource management.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise maintenance staff, ensuring safe work practices and high-quality standards.
  • Support budgeting, cost control, purchasing, and record‑keeping.
  • Ensure maintenance schedules align with member play to minimize disruption.
  • Contribute to sustainability practices and continuous improvement of course conditions.
  • Foster a positive, professional working environment for staff, members, and guests.

What are we looking for?

  • Strong knowledge of turf management, golf course maintenance, agronomy, and irrigation systems.
  • Experience supervising teams and providing technical and safety training.
  • Ability to plan workloads, solve problems independently, and manage multiple priorities.
  • Familiarity with fertilizers, pesticides, landscaping equipment, and environmental regulations.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Strong leadership qualities: proactive, dependable, organized, and committed to high standards.
  • Comfortable with physical outdoor work and operating maintenance equipment.
  • A positive, respectful attitude with a commitment to sustainability and continuous improvement.
