STARTING DATE: 2026 / 2027 School Year
WORK HOURS: 10 Months / Full-Time
RANGE OF PAY: HEA Salary Schedule. Based on education and experience

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES: The High School ESL teacher is responsible for preparing course material and designing lessons that help support Multilingual Learners in Math lessons. The ESL teacher will keep track of EL student records and will track student progress. The ESL teacher assists with differentiated instruction that is aligned with the curriculum following guidelines set by State of Illinois law and board policy. Create and contribute to a positive learning environment.
SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree; one to two years related experience and/or training preferred. Appropriate valid Illinois Professional Educators License with High School and ESL endorsements. Math content knowledge is ideal, but not required. Russian/Ukrainian speaking preferred. Must be able to communicate with a variety of students and staff in a multitasked, fast paced environment.
