About the role
You will lead the safe, reliable, and efficient day-to-day operation of laboratory buildings and infrastructure that support research activities in Braine. Who you’ll work with
You will work closely with laboratory users, engineering teams, utilities partners, health and safety colleagues, and external contractors. You will build strong relationships across site functions to translate operational needs into practical actions, support infrastructure projects, and maintain a safe and efficient environment for research teams.
What you’ll do
You will own the operational performance of assigned laboratory buildings and infrastructure.
Coordinate building changes, equipment setup, and facility improvement projects.
You will lead safety actions, follow up on risks, and support a strong safety culture.
Manage maintenance, repairs, and technical issues with internal teams and vendors.
Oversee contractors on site to ensure quality, safety, and service standards.
You will identify opportunities to improve operations, building performance, and user experience.
Interested? For this role, we’re looking for the following education, experience and skills
A minimum of Master’s degree (or equivalent) in science, business, engineering, or a related field.
Significant experience in building operations or technical site management.
Experience working in laboratory, technical, or industrial environments.
Strong knowledge of building systems, utilities, ventilation, and laboratory infrastructure.
Proven ability to manage vendors, contractors, and operational projects independently.
