Job Description
Imagine being part of a team that’s redefining the future of mobility—where your ideas don’t just sit in a lab but power next-generation technology. At indie, we are developing cutting-edge semiconductors, photonics, and radar sensors and systems for automotive, industrial, and adjacent markets. Our innovations are at the heart of advanced intelligent sensing and user experience applications, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.
If you're passionate about groundbreaking technology and want to make a real impact alongside a fast-paced team that thrives on creativity and collaboration, we’d love to have you on board!
As an Analog/RF ATE Test Engineer, you will play a key role in the development, validation, and deployment of test solutions for indie programs, particularly for our mixed-signal products.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including design, product, and process engineering, to ensure robust test coverage, high yield, and smooth integration into high-volume manufacturing.
Your expertise in ATE platforms, silicon debug, and data analysis will directly contribute to product quality, production efficiency, and time-to-market.
This is a highly technical and impactful role suited for an engineer who thrives in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop, validate, and release test programs for wafer probe and final test on the Advantest V93000 SmartScale platform using SmarTest 8, meeting automotive-grade requirements.
- Drive DFT/DFM implementation for new products, partnering with design and test architects to maximize coverage efficiency and minimize test time.
- Support development of various test targets, including characterization, qualification, probe, and final test solutions.
- Support silicon bring-up and post-silicon validation, including handler and load board bring-up, contactor qualification, and tester correlation.
- Define, improve, and validate test methods, procedures, and techniques that can be reused across product lines.
- Support development of production and characterization test hardware for ATE applications, targeting high test coverage for wafer and final test.
- Analyze engineering test data and report results to the team (design, product engineering, qualification, etc.).
- Lead the introduction and release of mass-production test software and hardware solutions.
- Understand new chip features and define appropriate test coverage within the target test system.
Key Qualifications
- 8+ years of hands-on analog ATE test engineering experience with a BS in Electrical Engineering, or 5+ years with an MS.
- Deep, production-proven experience with the Advantest V93000 (93K) platform and SmarTest 8 (SMT8).
- Strong understanding of analog design and measurement techniques, with exposure to RF designs preferred.
- Experience with post-silicon validation, silicon bring-up, debug, root cause analysis, product engineering, and foundry interaction.
- Strong programming skills in Python for test utilities, data analysis, and automation scripting, and Java for SmarTest 8 test method development.
- Knowledge of PCB design, testing, and debugging.
