Houseperson Housekeeping - HGI Ponte Vedra

Position Summary: The Hotel Houseperson plays a vital role in maintaining the overall cleanliness and organization of the hotel. This position supports the housekeeping team by assisting with room readiness, public area upkeep, linen/room supply distribution, and general cleaning duties to ensure a welcoming environment for all guests. Key Responsibilities: Maintain cleanliness of all public areas including hallways, lobbies, restrooms, elevators, and service areas. Assist room attendants by delivering linens, towels, and cleaning supplies. Remove soiled linens, trash, and recyclables from guest floors and housekeeping closets. Ensure housekeeping carts and storage rooms are clean, organized, and fully stocked. Respond promptly to guest requests or housekeeping calls for additional supplies or assistance. Clean windows, mirrors, doors, and other surfaces as assigned. Perform deep-cleaning projects such as shampooing carpets, polishing floors, and cleaning furniture. Maintain safety standards and report any maintenance issues or hazards immediately. Support other departments when necessary to ensure smooth hotel operations. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience in a hotel environment a plus. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand and walk for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks. Work Environment: Fast-paced hotel setting with frequent interaction with guests and staff.           Exposure to cleaning chemicals and moderate physical activity.
