We are seeking a forward-looking technology leader to oversee enterprise Information Technology (IT) strategy and vision in the role of Group Vice President, Chief Information Officer. Reporting to the Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, this role is a key leadership position that will serve as a strategic partner to the business, ensuring that technology capabilities enable growth, scalability, compliance, operational excellence and innovation. The ideal candidate brings experience in regulated life sciences, business acumen, and governance expertise to help modernize platforms and leverage AI technologies.
This role is based in our Lexington office and requires an onsite presence five days per week to support our commitment to seamless partnership, timely decision-making, and high-impact execution.
Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):
- Own and evolve the enterprise IT, Digital Enablement and Data roadmap, aligning technology investments with business strategy, growth priorities, and functional transformation goals.
- Partner with business leaders to evaluate and responsibly implement technology solutions, including AI and automation, to enhance decision-making, productivity, scalability, and business performance.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on technology trends, business implications, investment priorities, and the organizational impact of technology transformation.
- Build and mature capabilities in portfolio management, program delivery, and value realization to ensure technology investments are prioritized effectively and deliver measurable business outcomes.
- Ensure secure, compliant, and reliable operations for global infrastructure, cloud systems, collaboration tools, enterprise platforms, and cybersecurity.
- Oversee and enhance IT policies, procedures, and controls, including those related to GxP, SOX, data privacy, data integrity, cybersecurity, system lifecycle management and IT risk management.
- Develop high-performing teams and foster a culture of innovation, accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning across IT and digital capabilities.
- Manage strategic vendors and partners to optimize service delivery, innovation, cost effectiveness, and long-term technology value.
Qualifications:
- Requires 20+ years as an information technology leader with previous experience in regulated life sciences, biotechnology, or commercial pharmaceutical environment
- Demonstrated ability to translate business priorities into scalable digital, data, and technology solutions that improve enterprise performance and enable growth
- Experience assessing, prioritizing, and implementing emerging technologies, including AI, automation, and advanced analytics, in a secure, compliant, and business-relevant manner.
- Demonstrated success overseeing cybersecurity, privacy, and risk management considerations associated with modern cloud, data, and enterprise ecosystems
- Experience establishing governance frameworks for technology and data, with the ability to balance innovation, compliance, and operational control.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional transformation initiatives and influence executive stakeholders across technical and non-technical functions.
- Strong commercial, operational, and financial acumen, with experience managing budgets, investment planning, and technology portfolio prioritization.
- Experience building, leading, and developing high-performing teams through periods of change, scale, and digital transformation
