Ensure that GIC’s risk management framework and guidelines remain effective in managing the credit risk of trading counterparties and service providers
Approve or recommend for approval appropriate credit risk appetite, counterparty specific credit limits and risk mitigation measures for GIC’s counterparties and service providers
Ensure an understanding of key credit risks and exposures among stakeholders, and facilitate responsible and effective risk-taking in line with GIC’s counterparty credit risk appetite and objectives
Keep abreast of changes in operating environment and regulations, and assess and address the potential impacts on counterparty credit risk
Maintain strong control and governance processes as well as manage day-to-day onboarding of counterparties or service providers, and compliance monitoring of approved credit limits, guidelines and restrictions
Oversee the reporting of GIC’s credit exposure to counterparties and investment-related service providers to senior management, risk governance committees and client
Ensure that adequate systems and infrastructure are in place to support all CRM activities
Build a strong team of counterparty credit risk subject matter experts (SMEs) and risk management capabilities, leveraging on latest technology and techniques.
