- Knowledge of autism in adults, including diverse presentations, strengths, sensory differences, and support needs.
- Understanding of adult autism diagnostic pathways and evidence‑informed assessment principles.
- Awareness of co‑existing conditions such as mental health difficulties, ADHD, and social vulnerability.
- Knowledge of safeguarding responsibilities and risk management for adults.
- Understanding of professional accountability, scope of practice, and clinical supervision.
- Knowledge of information governance, confidentiality, and accurate clinical documentation.
Desirable
- Knowledge of neuro‑affirmative and trauma‑informed practice.

Experience

- Experience working as a registered nurse with adults in health, mental health, or community services.
- Experience supporting individuals with complex needs, distress, or vulnerability.

- Experience of accurate and timely clinical record keeping.
