Job Summary

Grows the trade parts sales for OEM National Sales Companies (NSC) and their and distribution partners network through coaching in opportunity identification, sales process, product presentation, and best practice implementation.


Key Responsibilities & Duties

1. Identifies and converts new independent repairers.

2. Uses analysis of spend patterns to prioritize activities to customers with the greatest growth potential.

3. Implements point of sales activities and distribution partner marketing and promotions.

4. Monitors business development and key metrics and performance indicators for each dealer / wholesaler branch, to ensure achievement of initial targets and action plans.

5. Travels to and visits existing and new independent repairers to reinforce the trade parts sales growth.

6. Creates relationships with independent repairers based on mutual trust and a high level of professionalism.

7. Act as a BMW spare parts consultant, supporting the independent repairers by providing product and price information, advantages vs. OES, etc.

8. Collects feedback and customer intelligence and shares with the Account Manager and NSC in order to enable a first-class trade operation, fulfilling and exceeding customer expectations.

9. Prepares joint action plans with the NSC and/or the respective BMW and MINI dealers or other distribution partners, to present customer feedback and to defines countermeasures.

10. Implements improvement measures in order to enable a first-class trade operation, by ensuring competitive logistic and delivery solutions as well as further support functions of the distribution partner to the customer (claims handling, technical support, etc.).


Experience, Skills and Key Competencies

  • At least 2 years of experience within dealer sales, aftersales, or merchandising is required, plus knowledge of the automotive industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with good understanding of business metrics and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) data.
  • Able to effectively carry out on-site visit analysis.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels of customers and internal teams.
  •  Effective and efficient diary/document management.
  • Must be able to read, write, understand, and speak fluent English.
  • Frequent travel to visit dealers is required for this role.
