As part of the continued growth and evolution of this dynamic group—working with clients across all industries and helping to bring Artificial Intelligence into some of Italy’s most prominent enterprise.

At Bip, a Generative AI Specialist not only deepens their expertise in Generative AI models but also develops a strong understanding of clients’ business dynamics—translating them into solutions and effectively communicating and applying outcomes to enhance and optimize processes.

Our Generative AI Specialists are involved in projects where most data is unstructured (text, images, videos, audio). The focus lies in understanding, processing, and generating from such unstructured sources—where traditional Data Science techniques often fall short.

Project work ranges from leveraging pre-trained models (e.g., LLMs) to training new Generative AI models, including fine-tuning and absorption learning on commercial models.

Beyond project work, Generative AI Specialists are expected to actively contribute to the internal community through research, technology scouting, solution design, and business development initiatives.

Are you ready to join our team? Must-Have Requirements

We are looking for an AI Engineer with 2–4 years of experience in developing software solutions based on Artificial Intelligence technologies.

The ideal candidate has strong software engineering foundations, is able to design and build scalable applications, and has hands-on exposure to Generative AI technologies. The role involves contributing to end‑to‑end AI products and services, including model integration, optimization of development pipelines, and the deployment of reliable and efficient solutions in production environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and development of AI‑based software solutions end to end
• Integrate AI and language models into existing application systems
• Optimize AI/ML development pipelines and support production deployment
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver scalable and maintainable solutions

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in software development and/or AI engineering
• Strong proficiency in Python (FastAPI is a strong plus)
• Solid experience with APIs, backend architectures, testing, and code versioning
• Familiarity with AI/ML engineering workflows
• Basic to solid knowledge of Generative AI tools and use cases, such as: 
  • Large Language Models (LLMs)
  • Prompt design
  • Model integration
  • Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) or equivalent approaches
• Proven problem‑solving skills, autonomy, and results‑oriented mindset
• Italian language is a plus but not mandatory
• Real production experience (deployment of GenAI applications, AI agents, or language‑model‑based solutions)
