Job Description

We are seeking an Senior Operations Communications Manager to join our Corporate and Digital Communications team within Corporate Affairs. This role serves as a strategic communications partner to the Chief Operating Officer and Operations Leadership Team (OLT).

Operations represents Signature Aviation’s largest employee population, from frontline Guest Experience and Airside Experience Specialists to base leadership and operational support teams across our global network. This role helps connect, inform and engage the workforce responsible for delivering our “Elevate Every Moment” promise every day.

The ideal candidate is a strategic communicator and strong writer who thrives in fast-moving environments, provides trusted counsel to senior leaders, and translates business priorities into clear, engaging communications for a large, dispersed workforce.

THE ROLE

As Senior Operations Communications Manager, you will serve as a partner supporting the COO and Operations Leadership Team; a strategic advisor and hands-on communications leader who drives work from strategy through execution.

Your work will directly influence how Signature Aviation communicates with team members across the Operations organization through executive communications, newsletters, operational updates, leadership messaging, employee engagement initiatives and internal storytelling.

The ideal candidate thinks beyond individual communications to connect the dots across the business by developing proactive strategies, anticipating communication needs, and supporting leaders through town halls, videos, leadership meetings and other high-impact moments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and drive proactive internal communications strategies and tactics that support operational priorities, leadership visibility and team member engagement, including ownership of the Operations’ editorial calendar, channel strategy, leadership cadence, intranet/digital workplace content, live forums, video and manager toolkits.
  • Serve as a trusted communications advisor to the COO and Operations Leadership Team, providing counsel, executive messaging, and content development across speeches, talking points, newsletters, videos, presentations, leadership forums and other communications.
  • In partnership with the Director of Corporate & Digital Communications, lead Operations’ editorial planning and communications frameworks that keep frontline and operational teams informed, aligned and engaged.
  • Translate complex operational, technical and business topics into clear, engaging communications, by collaborating across functions to ensure consistent messaging and business alignment.
  • Prepare and execute internal communications for operational issues, sensitive matters and issues management, partnering with Corporate Affairs, Legal, People/HR, Safety and Security, and Operations leaders to ensure timely, accurate and values-aligned messaging.
  • Create field leader and manager communication toolkits, talking points, cascades and Q&A materials that help base and operational leaders communicate consistently with their teams.
  • Produce communications for dispersed, frontline and deskless teams, using digital-first, manager-led and operational channels to ensure critical messages reach team members. 
  • Develop and execute change communications plans for operational priorities, process changes, transformation initiatives, organizational updates and other moments that require clear team member understanding and adoption.
  • In partnership with the Corporate Affairs Leadership Team, work on measurement and insights to evaluate communication effectiveness, reach, engagement and team member understanding, and use findings to improve future communications.
  • Leverage AI tools, video editing and creative technologies to enhance communications, storytelling and content creation.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of communications processes, tools and channels.

WE VALUE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or related field.
  • Agency experience or experience working in a consultative communications environment.
  • Strong executive presence and relationship-building skills.
  • Comfort collaborating across all levels of a large, matrixed organization.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • A collaborative, low-ego approach with a willingness to jump in and support the team wherever needed.

 

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 10 years minimum of experience in internal communications, employee communications, executive communications or related communications roles.
  • Strong writing and speechwriting skills with the ability to adapt tone and messaging for different audiences and leaders, with AP Style proficiency and strong editorial standards.
  • Experience counseling and supporting senior executives and leadership teams.
  • Experience operating as an embedded communications business partner to senior leaders or a major business function. 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong AI fluency and curiosity, including experience with generative AI tools to improve productivity, accelerate research and drafting, synthesize information and support communications planning while applying sound judgment and editorial oversight.
  • Experience supporting large operational organizations or enterprise-wide employee audiences.
  • Experience using video editing, digital content and creative technologies to support communications and storytelling.
