
Electro/Mechanical Technician (Senior - Principal)
Job Description
Job Duties
- Under general supervision, applies knowledge of electro-mechanical principles to perform maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and repair of LWD (Logging While Drilling) downhole drilling tools.
- Independently solves routine and some moderately complex problems using pre-established guidelines and plans and carries out moderately complex analytical processes.
- Executes diagnostic and analytical processes across multiple tool systems and components.
- Demonstrates proficiency in multiple processes and test procedures, including full tool assembly, disassembly, and functional testing.
- Assists in identifying and implementing improvements to processes, equipment, and procedures to drive reliability and efficiency.
- Promotes and demonstrates a strong commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.
- Leads by example, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- May provide guidance or informal mentorship to less experienced technicians.
- May require travel based on business needs.
Qualifications
- Skills are typically acquired through completion of an associate’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement (CI) principles is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
