Job Description
Requirements
Requirements: Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field and 4 years of experience in the job offered or in a Field Professional Seismic related position.
Position requires experience in the following:
- Experience in field logging operations with open hole and cased hole tools (gamma ray, resistivity, density, neutron, cement evaluation, casing inspection).
- Experience selecting appropriate tools based on formation characteristics and well objectives, as well as configuring tool strings to optimize data collection.
- Experience with tool calibration, function checks, and safe rig-up and rig-down procedures such as performing precise calibration of logging tools to guarantee accurate measurements.
- Experience with basic troubleshooting of tool and surface system issues and capable of diagnosing common faults in downhole logging tools and surface acquisition systems, such as sensor failures, communication interruptions, and power inconsistencies.
- Experience with borehole conditions that influence logging quality, including washouts, rugosity, and mud cake build-up.
- Experience with data acquisition systems and operating advanced data acquisition platforms that capture, digitize, and store logging measurements.
- Experience recognizing tool failure or abnormal log responses, identifying signs of tool malfunction or atypical logging responses, such as sudden signal losses, inconsistent sensor readings, or unusual log patterns.
- Experience with basic data quality control (DQCs) during acquisition by monitoring for noise, spikes, and consistency throughout logging operations.
