Marriott International is seeking an exceptional General Manager to lead the pre-opening and launch of Hotel Paris Vienna, a Luxury Collection Hotel, one of the most anticipated luxury hotel openings in Central Europe.

 

As part of Marriott's distinguished Luxury Group portfolio, The Luxury Collection represents a curated ensemble of extraordinary hotels that celebrate the unique character, heritage and culture of their destinations. Hotel Paris Vienna will join this prestigious collection as a landmark luxury destination, combining historic grandeur with contemporary sophistication in one of Europe's most iconic cities.

 

This is a rare opportunity for a visionary hotel leader to shape a hotel from inception, build a high-performing team, establish a compelling market position, and create a guest experience worthy of one of Vienna's most celebrated addresses.

 

The Opportunity

 

Reporting to the Regional Vice President, the General Manager will assume responsibility from the pre-opening phase, leading all aspects of planning, recruitment, commercial strategy, operational readiness, stakeholder engagement and brand activation ahead of the anticipated opening in Q4 2027.

 

The successful candidate will play a critical role in translating the owner's vision into an exceptional luxury hospitality experience whilst ensuring alignment with Marriott International's standards, culture and values.

 

Key areas of focus will include:

  • Leading all pre-opening activities and critical path milestones
  • Building and developing a best-in-class Executive Committee and leadership team
  • Establishing strong relationships with ownership, local stakeholders and community partners
  • Creating a compelling commercial strategy to position the hotel as a market-leading luxury destination
  • Driving operational excellence and guest satisfaction from day one
  • Delivering financial performance, market share growth and long-term asset value
  • Championing Marriott's people-first culture and talent development philosophy

 

Candidate Profile

 

We are seeking an accomplished luxury hospitality leader who combines commercial acumen with operational excellence and a passion for creating exceptional guest experiences.

 

The ideal candidate will possess:

 

  • Previous General Manager experience within a luxury hotel environment
  • Demonstrated success leading luxury, lifestyle or iconic destination hotels
  • Experience managing complex stakeholder and owner relationships
  • Strong commercial capability with a track record of delivering market-leading performance
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams
  • Previous pre-opening experience is strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of the DACH market and European luxury hospitality landscape
  • Fluency in German and English is essential
