Job Duties

Develops and monitors guest action plans for housing, health, legal, and financial needs while promoting self-sufficiency.

Provides crisis support, agency referrals, and advocacy for guests facing service barriers.

Liaises with community and government services (Social Services, Mental Health, LTC, Police) and provides transportation to appointments.

Conducts guest intake, interviews, and assessments to determine program suitability.

Maintains a safe environment through constant observation, incident reporting, and non-violent crisis intervention.

Ensures guest comfort by providing food, clothing, shelter, and orientation to facility aid.

Manages comprehensive documentation, including guest files, progress notes, statistics, medication charts, and financial forms.

Teaches life skills such as hygiene, housekeeping, meal prep, budgeting, and interpersonal skills.

Provides first aid and dispenses medications according to established health plans.

Consults with medical and financial professionals regarding guest treatment and budget needs.

Supervises and trains new staff, students, volunteers, and community placements.

Performs facility maintenance, including cleaning toilets, making beds, and assisting guests with bathing.

Collaborates with the team to respond to emergencies and identifies service gaps to leadership.

Complies with all health and safety programs and remains alert/awake for the duration of every shift.

Performs other related duties as assigned.
